Icy Green Prehnite Burst Necklace

I got some much needed studio time this weekend and this is the result. I love the way this 10mm icy green prehnite seems to glow. It is crafted out of sterling silver with peridot stones on the chain and a small handmade clasp. Moxie says hi, and hopes you are all enjoying summer as much as her 🙂

How does your garden grow?

I am enjoying this garden thing far too much. Here is a picture of our garden after we first planted it.   And here it is just a few days ago –     It is 6′ x 3′. So it is on the smallish side. We hadn’t ever grown a thing in our lives so we thought we would start out small and then if we didn’t just kill everything we would expand next year. We have 3 different kinds of tomatoes, some green and orange peppers, and some soybeans on the far right. I also have a ton […]more

New Puppies!

Aren’t they just the cutest things! My mom’s yorkie had three little pups last weekend and they were just too cute not to share. They are so tiny and so far take after their dad (a miniture poodle) being all black.  The mom is doing a great job and barely leaves their side. Too cute!

A few new pieces of handmade jewelry goodness

Here are some better photos of some newly completed rings. I had a group shot a few posts ago, but they needed a close up shot of their own. Things have been slow in the studio as I have been trying to soak up every last moment of summer before the snowflakes begin to fall.  Also, I have been puppy sitting this little rascal that can cause quite a bit more trouble than his size would indicate. (Puppies are hard to get clear photographs of because they don’t often stop moving, and little black puppies are especially hard, and often […]more

Heading to the Hills

That is exactly what we are doing this weekend. I get to spend some quality time with the people I love up in the Utah mountains. Lucky for us my grandparents have a lovely cabin that they so graciously share with us. This cabin is the background for many of my fondest childhood memories, and I can’t wait to get up there. It is an adorable thing that my Grandpa built with his own two hands. The air is fresh and the water is cool. The pups are going to have a great time. I hope your weekend is fantastic!

Welcome and please excuse the dust!

Hi! Welcome to the new website. Well, now you know what I have been up to lately. Immersing myself in code and html and all that lovely stuff. Now that this end is mostly tied up, I am excited to get back to my bench to make some more metal goodness to share with you all. Above is a necklace set I am currently working on. The silver is imprinted lightly with a bark texture and personalized with an initial. I made the J one for myself and have been wearing it a lot lately. Check out these handcrafted personalized […]more

We are Moving!

In the next few weeks I will be moving my site from its current format to a new one. So please bear with me. It is time for spring and all things new and fresh, so the site will be getting a much needed face lift and I am hoping that I can get the blog transferred over to it’s new format. Hope everyone is having a great day! Wish me luck. I will need it 😉
