My Beginnings in Enameling Copper Jewelry

I have had supplies to try enamels since December but have been a little bit chicken to try them. Well, I finally did and it was really fun. I didn't try anything too fancy, just trying to get the hang of it at first. I am really excited to do more of this. From the bench – Work in Progress Photos

I have to admit I have been away from my bench for a little while. Aside from a few custom pieces I haven't done much new work in a few weeks. I have been a bad metalsmith ;)  So I decided to share a sneak peek of a newpiece I am working on. It is a lovely square moonstone that I picked up at a recent gem show. I will post more pictures once it has "developed" a bit more.

Supplies and Tools Equals Lovely Handmade Ring

I sometimes come across people that ask where I buy certain pieces that I use for my jewelry. However, most often it is a piece that I have made from the ground up.
